Honduras Hurricane Disaster Relief

On Thursday, November 5th, 2020, Hurricane Eta descended onto Honduras, causing severe flooding, landslides, and power outages. Days later, Hurricane Iota hit, causing even more damage. These were the fiercest storms to hit Central America in decades. Many Honduras citizens were displaced from their homes, and over 120 of our employees were adversely impacted. 

KM2 Solutions took immediate action to aid our Honduran community. A local committee coordinated donations from our clients and employees to deliver to those in need. In total, KM2 raised $66,000 in relief aid to support those most impacted. On Tuesday, January 26th, 2021, the donations were distributed to these employees through our KM2Cares program.

 

Already navigating our way through the global pandemic, we were then also faced with these two successive natural disasters that affected not only our city but our entire country. Over 120 members of our KM2 family were directly affected; some of them lost everything they owned. Despite the flooding, mudslides, and roadblocks, our team never gave up, continued to show up to work to support our clients, and then used their free time to help those in need. The resilience and willingness to always do the right thing are in our DNA as part of this great family, KM2 Solutions.
